Dance – 155 - Een Vijf Vijf & Maas theater and dance Award-winning show CONTROLE is a sick mix of breakdance, physical comedy, live music, film and strange humor. For anyone who sometimes wonders: what am I actually doing with my life? Panic attacks, empty pockets, vague friends, rotten knees, growing older, compelling algorithms. Do we try to take back control or do we let it slip away? The men of 155 (one five five), a breakdance collective that emerged from friends who grew up together, are now all around 30 and face a choice: get a grip on life or remain free forever?  In the past, they could race away from rules, expectations and “the system” on their motorcycle. Now in CONTROL they literally stand on a floor that is constantly moving. With that restless feeling of: - I have no control over this - they ask the question that everyone must face: who do you want to be and how do you want to live? CONTROLE is the winner of the Golden Cricket 2023 for the most impressive stage performance in youth theater. After the performance on November 11, a discussion (we call this 'Backstage') will take place by our Schuurjongeren. Together with the audience, they ask questions of the actors, dancers, director and/or choreographer. Each one disarming conversations with a fresh look at the performance or film. The discussion is free and takes place in the hall.
