On Wednesday morning, November 18, we are organizing a Sintswap toy exchange market in collaboration with Cpunt Hoofddorp to make the holidays more sustainable and affordable. December is coming again: a month all about coziness, warmth and gifts. Did you know that the average Dutch person spends almost €130 on Sinterklaas gifts? This can not only be cheaper, but also more sustainable! Buying things is the largest source of CO2 emissions from consumers in the Netherlands. To contribute to a more sustainable Sinterklaas celebration, we are organizing a Sintswap toy exchange market in collaboration with Cpunt Raadhuisplein in Hoofddorp. At this swap market you can trade in your children's toys and find other toys for them. This way you give your children a nice Sinterklaas party, toys get a second life and you contribute to a more sustainable world. Children of newcomers also deserve a nice Sinterklaas party. That is why we asked the COA asylum seeker center in Hoofddorp what kind of toys they could use. This has led to the following wish list: Acrylic-based paint and other painting supplies; Small shoe gifts for children up to 12 years old. So do you still have something from the list above that is in good condition? Take it with you and give another child a nice Sinterklaas party! Wednesday, November 18, 8:45 AM - 12:45 PM Passage Cpunt, Raadhuisplein 3, Hoofddorp. Bring neat and clean toys. You can donate a maximum of 10 toys. We do not accept cuddly toys, textiles, DVDs or CDs. When you return toys, you receive value points. These points are based on the original purchase amount. You can then immediately use these points to choose new toys.
